Discovery Trails have been created by South West Heritage Trust for primary school students. The first trail, The Torbay Discovery Trail, is for Devon primary school students although anyone is welcome to enjoy it. The trail enables pupils to learn about famous and notable people with connections to Torquay. It includes a walking trail linked to important sites and archive materials to help students discover more. School pupils can use the archive materials to create a poster full of interesting facts about the people. It can all be accessed from the classroom, or the trail can be used out and about to explore Torquay sites with a class.
Over time we aim to create further trails relating to other locations in Devon and Somerset.
